Registration/Profile FAQ
Why should I join Woo.ie?
Online dating is widely regarded as the fastest way for people to meet eligible partners. Woo.ie is a site designed to allow modern, like-minded people to meet and interact through the comfort and safety of our website. Woo.ie is fresh, dynamic, interesting and exciting while remaining fun and secure.
How do I join Woo.ie?
From any page on the site simply click on the "Join Now" button. You will then be presented with a form where you can provide your details and upload your photo. It's that simple!
What do I do if I forget my Woo.ie password and/or username?
In the event that you forget your Woo.ie login details you can request that your username be sent to you or choose a new password using the form on this page. This form is accessible at all times throughout the site via the "Forgot My Details" button on the login form.
What should I put in my Woo.ie profile?
Each user is unique and it is this individuality that makes each profile so interesting. Try reading some other profiles for inspiration. To stand out from everyone else, you will need to grab people's attention - be a little different. What are the most important things that you would like to know about a person? Other people are likely to want to know the same about you.

Don't just ramble, give that extra little bit of info - it may make all the difference! The person reading your profile will be deciding whether they find you interesting or intriguing and whether or not they will answer your messages. You should start by stating some of the more curious facts about yourself while remembering to list any wishes you have honestly. Other users will quickly see through your profile if it is all bravado or too perfect.

Don't forget specifics - it is the small points that make you and your profile more unique than the hundreds of others being presented to our members.

Remember: you can edit your profile's content as much as you like.

TIP: Include a photo in your profile - photos have proven to be the single biggest generator of messages between members.
Do I have to provide a photograph when creating my Woo.ie profile?
No, if you do not wish to provide a photograph of yourself, you do not have to. However, please bear in mind that you are much more likely to receive messages from other members if you do provide a photo.

Remember, if you do not have a photograph in digital format that you can upload to our server, you can post one to us and we will scan & upload it for you FREE of charge. Send your photograph to Woo Online Ltd., Box 69, 58 Baggot Lane, Dublin 4. Make sure you include your username, real name & email address so we can verify your identity. If you wish us to return your picture once we've scanned it, please include a stamped, addressed envelope.
Do I have to fill out all the sections when creating my Woo.ie profile?
No. The only information we require from you when you are signing up is:
•  A username
•  Your real name (forename & surname)
•  Your e-mail address
•  Your gender & sexuality
•  Your date of birth

After that you are free to complete as many or as few of the additional fields as you wish. However, please remember, the more information you provide, the better your chances of finding your ideal partner.
What should I enter under "My Latest News"?
Use "My Latest News" to let your fellow Woo.ie members know what you are up to at the moment whether you're hard at work, on holidays or just want to share drinking stories form last night.
What is a signature?
Just like you would with e-mail you can create a signature for yourself that will be attached to all your communicator messages and board posts. You can also choose not to view other people's signatures, if you wish.
Why is my username not being accepted?
Your username may already be in use by another user, it may not be the required minimum of three characters long or it may contain one of the following, invalid characters: !#$%^&*()=+{}[]|\;:/?>,<'".
What is an activation code?
In order to verify you are who you say you are and activate your account, you will need to enter the activation code sent to you by e-mail in the space provided on the activation page which you will be linked to once your account has been approved. You can alternatively just click the activation link in the email to automatically activate your account.
Why have I not received my Woo.ie activation code?
You may have difficulty in receiving your confirmation code due to your mailboxes being full or due to anti-spam policies of your provider (Hotmail users beware!). When signing up, please ensure that you can receive mail from Woo.ie. Activation e-mails that are returned to us will not be resent. You may request that we manually activate your account for you by e-mailing us from the address you signed up with and including your username and real name.

In rare ocassions, people may have their membership disapproved by a Woo.ie staff member, in which case you will not receive your activation e-mail.
