General FAQ
What is Woo.ie?
Woo.ie was set up to make it as easy as possible for you to meet people, using the power of the Internet. At Woo.ie, you'll find a community of singles who are using our site as a tool to make connections and find romance, dates, friends, penpals, activity partners, even spouses. To find your match, we offer several powerful features, which allow you to narrow your search so that you are able to find exactly the kind of person you are looking for. From time to time, we also add new features to make your experience on Woo.ie a successful and fun experience.
Who is behind Woo.ie and where are you located?
Woo.ie is a website that is owned and run by Woo Online Ltd., Box 69, 58 Baggot Lane, Dublin 4.
Who does Woo.ie cater for?
Woo.ie caters for you whether you are heterosexual, homosexual, looking for a special relationship or just new friends. Everyone is encouraged to join - and it's FREE to sign up!
Are members on Woo.ie screened?
Yes. A valid email address is required in order to become a member of Woo.ie, as you will not be able to activate your account without one. This means that should any member of the site be found guilty of harassing other members, we will have a lead in finding the person who is causing the problems and, with the help of that member's ISP, we can hopefully trace that person. Needless to say, such people will be permanently banned from membership on this site.

For added security a member of our team screens all new profiles before they are made available to other members. However, our service is otherwise confidential. There is no way that we can do extensive background checks on members, and we expect you to understand that we cannot take responsibility for any pain, damage or suffering arising from your use of this site. Please use your common sense and be careful about giving out personal information to people you meet on this site.

We would encourage you to read our Safety Tips for more advice on how to use Woo.ie safely and securely.
Apart from screening, do staff members censor anything I post to Woo.ie?
No; we do not believe in censorship here at Woo.ie, we are strong advocates of free speech and allowing our members to say what they want. However, we do take steps to ensure everything on Woo.ie is kept legal including, but not limited to, editing/removing posts on the message boards which may be considered libelous and removing any content which borders on the pornographic. Woo.ie staff members reserve the right to remove anything posted to the site at any time.

As for "colourful language", you are free to cuss up a storm, if you so wish, but we would ask you to bear in mind that not everyone using Woo.ie may be as liberal as you and to respect this fact & think before using profanities.
Can I invite friends to join Woo.ie?
Yes, the more the merrier! Simply click the "Tell a Friend" button at left, fill out the simple form and hit submit to invite your friends to become a part of Ireland's fastest growing dating website.
