What is Communicator?
Communicator is Woo.ie's private messaging system which allows you to interact with other members in a one-on-one environment.

How do I receive messages?
To receive messages, just go to your inbox by clicking the releveant link in the Communicator menu at left. You will need to be full member of Woo.ie to access your messages.

How do I send messages to other Woo.ie members?
To send a message to another member, you can either click on the
icon which appears throughout the site or select "Send Message" from the Communicator menu at left and then use your drop down address book to select a member to send to.

Your favourites make up your Woo.ie address book, a means for you to keep track of members you may be interested in. From your favourites list you can send messages to members, view their profiles and more.

Can I view messages I have sent to other Woo.ie members?
You can keep track of messages you have sent to other members by selecting "My Outbox" from the Communicator menu at left.

How can I tell if someone has read a message I sent to them?
Any messages you have sent to other members which have not yet been read by the recipient will be marked as new in your outbox (

Your blocklist is a way for you to block messages from people for whatever reason you may wish. Anyone on your blocklist will receive an error messge when they try to contact you. If you block a member for something serious, such as continued harrassment then please inform a Woo.ie staff member and we will take appropriate action against the offending member.

How do I add/remove members to my blocklist/favourites?
To add a member to your favourites list, simply click the
icon you'll find throughout the site. To add a member to your blocklist, use the 
icon you'll find under their name in any messages they send to you.
To remove a member from your favourites or blocklist, select the relevant item from the Communicator menu at left and click the
icon beside the name of the member you wish to remove.

Yes, you can apply all sorts of formatting to messages when you're sending them using the formatting buttons and dropdowns that appear above the message area. To see what your formatted message looks like, use the preview button which appears below the message area.

Can I use images or smilies when sending a message?
You can include smilies in your messages by using the smiley menu which appears to the left of the message area; simply click on a smiley to insert it in your message.
